Welcome to Dashboard & Widgets
In this tutorial, you'll walk through 7 steps to customize your Dashboard, install the home screen widget, and control trips and your time clock from notifications — without opening the app.
1
Explore the Dashboard
Your Dashboard is the command center. Widgets show miles, revenue, expenses, hours, and net profit at a glance. Each widget has its own time period — today, this week, this month, or this year.

2
Choose Your Widgets
Tap the gear icon in the bottom-right corner of the Dashboard to add new widgets. Choose from miles, revenue, expenses, hours, $/mile, $/hour, utilization, and more. Long press any widget to remove it.

3
Set Widget Time Periods
Tap the period badge on any widget to change its timeframe. Want miles for today but revenue for the whole month? Each widget is independent — mix and match however you like.

4
Install the Home Screen Widget
Long-press the TrakMiles Pro app icon on your home screen, tap Widgets from the popup menu, then tap Add. Place the widget wherever you want on your home screen — your stats and trip controls are now one glance away.
📍 Long Press App Icon → Widgets → Add
5
Use the Home Screen Widget
The widget shows miles traveled and your current mode — Auto or Manual. In Auto mode, "Monitoring" shows it's watching for driving. In Manual mode, tap "Start" to begin a trip. "Stop" is available in both modes. At the bottom, Clock In/Clock Out controls your time clock. You barely need to open the app.

Mileage Tracking Notification
A persistent notification shows your tracking status. In Auto mode, you see "Auto Mode Active" with Pause and Resume buttons. In Manual mode, you get Start and Stop buttons. Tap the notification itself to open the app. Control your trips without ever leaving your current screen.

Time Clock Notification
A second notification controls your time clock. When clocked in, it shows your elapsed time and platform with a Clock Out button. When clocked out, a Clock In button is ready to go. Between the widget and these two notifications, you can run your entire work day without opening the app.
